Units and Courses

Vocational Education and Training (VET) for students over 16 is organized into 12 departments called ‘units’, each focused on a particular business sector.

Adult Education
The  Adult Education Department has about 5000 enrolments every year. Young adults (18 +) take courses for Lower Secondary and Upper Secondary Certificates and Diplomas in the Department’s Open Learning Centre.
The Dutch for Speakers of Other Languages course attracts students from Europe, Asia and Africa, including refugees. Friesland has about 4.13 % immigrants (first and second generation).
